Hey, I'm Liam
I work as a project manager, a parent, and an expat based in Toronto, Canada.
Several years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Canada wasn’t part of the long-range plan. Like many international assignments, it began as a job chance and soon grew into something far greater.
The initial months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt tougher than they should.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines settled in. We found places that fit us, met other families, and began creating something that felt stable.
Why I Built Glade Wave Copper
Most information online was either corporate-level relocation guidance or surface-level tourism material. What was missing was an honest, everyday-family viewpoint.
This site exists to close that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in Canada.
What This Site Is About (And Isn't)
This site IS:
- Practical insights from living in Canada
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site ISN'T:
- An official tourism authority resource
- Paid review platform
- A generic travel journal
Looking Ahead
Our stay in Canada goes on, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I'll continue recording what we uncover.
If you have questions about family life in Toronto or anywhere in Canada, don't hesitate to get in touch.
Cheers,
Liam
